I needed extra outlets in the garage for all of my various tool battery chargers. Works perfect, nice and neat now. Got rid of three small power stripsExactly what I needed for my booth for multiple items needed power. Love the long cord and all the outlets. This item works fine as a power strip but has no surge protection circuitry whatsoever. Above are pictures of the interface between the cord and the strip. The cord is a standard US grounded cable. The connections go directly from the cord to the conductive (brass?) rails that run the length of the strip. There is no fuse, no circuitry. Again, despite what the company is claiming (in broken English), this is not a surge protector. Buy it if all you need is a ton of outlets. Don't buy it if you need a surge protector.Yeah. You just need a plug. A free, available plug. You have used the 6 or 7 port plugs on your work bench and probably have two, three, or four up on your wall. Half of the plugs are being used since there is that one dumb plug that takes the space of three. I got feed up the other day and decided to spring for this large power strip. Yes. Sprang $2 more for the yellow look too. It is a nice unit and now I always have a plug that is efficient . Right in front of me. And yes . I have removed my four power strips that was placed here and there above my work bench with just one long Power strip. You are going to wake up ten years from now and ask yourself why you fiddled around pulling your hair out with trying to find a free plug or unplugging this plug and why you just didn't put the right plug in a long time ago. Come on. WE are cheap. That is why we have a work bench and are fixing 99¢ solar lights for an hour when we have money sitting in the bank. So treat yourself to the power strip. Yes. I looked at all of the and studied them. This seems to be the best . It is well made and will last you a lifetime.Well made, you can see the quality of materials used in producing this item.Plenty of available recepticles, 24 should be enough to get you started.Mounting the power strip is easy and clean.Cord length in good as well as length of the unit. You don't realize you should have bought 2, maybe 3 until you find out the convenience of having so many options.I bought 2 and I'm thinking about buying a couple more.I purchased both the 24 and 16-outlet versions of this power strip and the listing title is misleading when it calls this a "surge protector" as this device contains no transient voltage surge suppressing components of any kind. It is just an outlet strip. The switch does bear a rating of 15A 125V. The cord is 3x14 AWG (and is of acceptable quality). The bus bars on the inside are lighter-duty than I would really consider ideal for something rated at 15A. The internal wiring is crimped into ferrules which are spot-welded to the switch tabs and the bus bars, which is a more reliable method than quick-connect terminals.this would be a perfect item if it had some USB portsI trully enjoy this power cord especially the extra long plug cord and enjoy the ability to mount it vertically or horizontally.many outlets for plugging in many things. My only gripe with this after using it for a little while is that the outlets are too close to each other.I will never need a plug ever again
