The 8" side is actually almost 9", making it impossible to get flexible ducting over it. The 8" side can only be used with rigid ducting, this really stinks and makes it worthless for my needs.It wasn't shipped until after the ETA, so I had to get a replacement. Then I would have had to drive 35 miles to take it to FedEX to return. Extremely displeased.Works perfectly. Well constructed & fast shipping.Does the jobNot a true 10x8x6 its like 10 1/2 x7 1/2 x6
