I have 2 older Honda eu2000 generators that I run in parallel to power my rv. They are prior to Honda including the 30 amp outlet in the companion generator so I had to add a Gentech add-on accessory designed to tether the two units together with a 30amp outlet. The old 30amp outlet on the Gentech accessory became sloppy and the generators vibration would cause the plug to pull out. With a little research, I decided this receptacle was an exact replacement to upgrade to a locking connection which is the style of connection used on the current Hondas. This fit perfectly in the hole occupied by the old outlet. I only had to drill 3 new holes to screw the outer flange on. It was a simple 15 minute replacement and the locking outlet solved my problem. I also bought an L530P-RV30R Honda Generators RV Adapter with the locking prongs so my cord would plug into the new outlet. This was a lot cheaper than buying a new Honda generator. Both the outlet and the adapter plug work perfectly.
