This product was easy to install and a nice fix for my tiny master bathroom. Our vanity has essentially no counter space and our wires kept falling off the counter and then hanging to the grand. This was a quick fix to that problem. You will need a couple things to install this: a standard size plate for the outlet, screws a tad bit longer than standard outlet screws and/or receptacle extenders to push the receptacle box outward to be more flush, and a screwdriver. Only downside is that the product is off white so it’s not going to be a perfect match in bright white bathrooms like mine. Overall happy though since the wires would get in the way of the drawer and it was annoying having them hang them constantly. It was too large for where I was going to put it. Even though the seller would take it back I would have to pay the postage. This would be close to what I paid for it. I will keep it and someday I will have a use for it.As many of the reviews mentioned, you have to have a 4.5" by 2.75" outlet plate. Mine was larger so I had to order a smaller one. You may also need screws a little longer than the ones that come with the wall plate. I did. Once I got the correct plate, it took less than a minute to install and it seems sturdy.I needed to go to the hardware store and get a slightly longer screw as the ones for the plate didn’t catch once I installed the shelf no matter how hard I leaned on the cover to try to push in. No big deal really just another 20 cents but if you’re not near a hardware store that sells them by the piece like that it’s going to be a pain if it happens to you. Otherwise I love the shelf to put my electric toothbrush and other assorted items on since there are no shelves and I have a pedestal sink where not much fits. This is the best purchase I have made for our bathrooms hansdown! We were getting so frustrated with the tangle of corded electric toothbrushes on the counter that we were constantly knocking over. Now after installing this shelf all our toothbrushes and their chargers have their place up high and out of the way, so no more getting knocked over into the sink. Love the cord wrap feature underneath and the fact that the shelf is under the outlet, leaving clearance for the medicine cabinet door above. Added an 6 outlet plug over top for more plug options. Check the measures, had to get a smaller plate cover and longer screws, which we found easily at Lowes.I have never had a product frustrate me this much. Admittedly I did not read the reviews that said you needed a small play cover to use this. It came in and of course my outlet plate was too large. I went to the reviews and realized I needed a two and three-quarter inch by 4 1/2 inch plate cover. Because I was excited to get this installed I chose the only option that would arrive to me in two days which was six dollars. That being said I could’ve gotten it for less than a dollar at Walmart or Lowe’s. The new face play came in, it was the correct size and I set to work installing it. To my surprise the face plate was still too large. I measured the inside of the shelf bracket which measure just above 2 1/2 inches. So without breaking the face plate I knew this wouldn’t work. I cannot locate a smaller face plate. I ended up loosening the screws that hold the plug to the wall in order for it to jut out more And I used my original face plate with a longer screw to hold the shelf on. The shelf itself looks good, the plugs look bad because they are offset into the wall and the shelf is not as secure since I couldn’t use the inside lip to hold it in place. For now it works OK.It needs the smallest possible outlet cover plate (I have decorator wallplates), but I found one for under a dollar at walmart (be sure you get the really small one). It installs super easy with a small flat head screwdriver to take off the existing cover plate and put it back with this shelf's frame behind the cover plate. I installed it with the shelf on the top, to hold my pill box and reading glasses so they are super easy to find. It would hold a cell phone just as well, out of the way of water splashing from the sink. It saves me from putting holes in the wall for an extra shelf.I was a bit weary due to some of the reviews, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I am pleasantly surprised. The major complaint seems to be the size of the outlet cover, but I don’t know why. I measured the dimensions for the cover on the unit and went to Home Depot to buy the outlet cover. It was a standard size , stocked by Home Depot, and cost me under a dollar. The whole install took less than 10 minutes. It’s sturdy enough to hold my power toothbrush and my Clarisonic face brush. It’s a blessing for a small space.I was so excited to get this. But when I went to install it didn’t fit. My plug was to close to the wall to fit the length of the tray on the one side. So sad. But it’s a great product if it had fit! My mistake!fit our electric toothbrushes perfectly (oral-b and sonicare) cords wrapped below so no messy look. Compatible with google home mini wall mount by mrount I bought on amazon
